Lay Organization

The Lay Organization of Bethel A.M.E. Church is a group of members whose purpose is to learn and then to train the laity in our Church so that each member may utilize the abilities and skills granted to them by God to the maximum.

Our goals are:

• To promote the fellowship of lay persons while encouraging, stimulating and educating them
• To instill an appreciation for the history, tradition and principles of African Methodism
• To foster a regular study of the Doctrine and Discipline of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and of Parliamentary Procedures
• To provide for the orderly and systematic training of the laity, especially officers, in order that they might perform their service assignments more effectively.
