Steward Board

Stewards tend to the needs of the pastor and make an exact account of all assets collected for the support of the pastor and the church. Stewards are to make reports of all financial expenditures, and attend the Quarterly Conference to offer input if they are requested to do so. Along with these tasks, stewards are called on to carry out the following necessary activities:

• Seek the needy and distressed in order to comfort them.
• Write circular letters encouraging people to offer more liberal contributions to the church.
• Register all baptisms, marriages, and deaths in the congregation.
• Determine the amount of financial and other contributions each member provides.
• Assess church members and submit findings to the church secretary.
